VAIL, CO
Hi y'all! This summer, our family vacation was to Vail, Colorado. My family absolutely loves it here. It's definitely a nice break from the Florida heat. This post is going to be kind of a travel guide to Vail/what we did while we were here! Enjoy!
We stayed in a condo a little further from all the busyness of the town this time, however we have stayed in the Four Seasons, Ritz, and the Solaris. We have loved all of those!
Vail is very outdoorsy, which I love. The community in the summer is so health, nature, and outdoor oriented. There is so much hiking and biking to do! Strawberry Fields is a relatively easy hike if you come from Vail Village to Lionshead. Berry picker from Lionshead is definitely a butt-kicker. We rode mountain bikes one day, and did the 15 mile long trail down from the mountain the next! The views were amazing. Go to Ski and Bike Valet in Lionshead to book!
Aside from the outdoor activities, there are so many amazing restaurants in Vail. I can't name a bad one! For breakfast, if you want something quick, head over to Loaded Joe's! They have smoothies, açaí bowls and sandwiches.
Now if you want a sit down meal, definitely go to Ludwig's in the Sonnenalp hotel, it is literally the best breakfast in Vail.
Lunch and dinner in Vail is just as good. Anywhere you eat will be delicious. A few of my favorites are Alpenrose, La Nonaa, and Sweet Basil. All of them are beautiful and have so much good food to offer!
Now for post dinner, Rimini Gelato is soooo good. They have a bunch of sorbet and gelato options!
The shopping in Vail is nothing short of amazing! Perch and Blitz are two of my favorites. They carry brands like Amanda Uprichard, Mother, Ulla Johnson, and ZIMMERMAN! Expect higher prices here just because of the location.
That's pretty much what we did, where we ate, and shopped! Love y'all!
